Loweswater Village Hall
With stunning views over Crummock Water in the English Lake District, up the Buttermere valley and across the surrounding high fells and peaks, there can be few village halls that offer such an impressive vista!
Nestled in the wooded Vale of Lorton, amongst the hills of North West Cumbria, with easy access to the A66, the M6 and the northern lakes, Loweswater Village Hall offers a social and business venue for wedding receptions, parties, dances, community activities, meetings and leisure & sports activities.
Built in 1839 and starting life as the village school, the building was converted into the village hall in 1956. The facilities include a large function room with portable staging, an adjoining small function room, toilets, a well-equipped catering kitchen and car park.
Local Loweswater facilities include the famous Kirkstile Inn, with accommodation and home of Loweswater Gold beer, the historic St Bartholemew’s Church and the fells surrounding Loweswater Lake and Crummock Water, which are all within a short walk.
