History

Since its conversion from the village school and grand opening on November 26th 1956, Loweswater Village Hall has been the setting for wedding receptions, family celebrations, local community group meetings, harvest suppers, auctions, fund raising events, training meetings, recreational activities, local and national election polls and much, much more. Some of these events have been recorded on camera and our gallery of donated photographs brings back happy memories from over the years. We’ve even slipped in a few photographs from the old Loweswater School days!

If you have any photographs of events in the village hall, past or present, that you would like to submit to our archives, please send them, along with any text describing the event, to secretary@loweswatervillagehall.co.uk .
